Whether you fancy trying a new hobby, adding to your existing skills, or you just want to play with some beautiful flowers for a few hours, we tailor our teaching style to each group. No two classes are ever the same! Our classes are small, informal, and suitable for all ability levels. We work with British flowers almost all year round, and specialise in foam-free methods.
Since Summer 2019, we are pleased to introduce our new studio space to all workshop attendees. Classes will now take place in our fully-equipped barn studio based in the village of Gaydon. Bursting with charm and character and looking out onto the cutting garden, our workshop space is a secluded retreat and perfect source of inspiration.

Beer and Bouquets

Starting off our new year of workshops is the return of our Beer and Bouquets class! Find a good cover story and sneak out to this evening class the day before Valentines Day to make your other half something truly personal - OR send your significant other our way! We will teach our attendees how to make a seasonal and romantic hand-tied bouquet. Straight forward in principle but with expert guidance, even the most puzzled mechanical-thinking male minds will surprise themselves! (Ladies welcome too!) Price includes tuition, tools and endless choice of blooms, alongside craft ale, soft drinks and bar snacks.
Floral Lunch Club

Meet, eat, create, and inspire! This class is ideal for professional florists, trainee's, freelancers, growers or budding designers.The Lunch Club is a warm and friendly environment to enjoy networking, chatting, creating and re-energising. Designed to offer an opportunity to meet your surrounding people, and dedicate time to think creatively amongst beautiful floral books and inspiring like-minders. We'll supply a informal buffet-style home cooked lunch, tea and cake, along with tools and materials to create one large dried flower-curtain display. An ideal collaborative activity to work on with whilst nattering away! The finished group installation will provide a great photo opportunity for everyone to enjoy.

Spoil your front door this Spring time and grace your neighbours with the colours of Spring! Who said wreaths are just for Christmas?! In this class we will start by weaving a wiggly willow wreath base, and later attach a mix of moss, living bulbs, cut blooms and foliage to bring colour and joy to your design. Embellish with quails eggs and faux birds, or keep it simple with twigs and green shoots. Should last for weeks to come, for Easter Sunday and beyond. Price includes all materials, tuition, and tea and cake.
DIY Wedding Flowers
Sunday 3rd May / 10:00 - 16:30
Designed for brides who are going hands-on - we're here to help you craft your dream bouquet and buttonholes! In an afternoon, we will cover how to make a non-wired buttonhole and a beautiful wild hand-tied bouquet, whilst also outlining the basics on flower care, timing, and understanding your specific flowers.
Priced at £99, this will include fresh flowers, sundries, tuition and a delicious home-made lunch. Alternatively for those who would like to come as a pair (e.g. Bride and Mother-of-the-Bride), you are welcome to come and create one bouquet and buttonhole between you, at a total cost of £119 for two of you. This can help to share the knowledge and skills learnt, so come the big day you can talk through your flowery creations with someone who can help.
This is a workshop open to any ability level, so if it's just a hand in building your flowery confidence, or expanding skills you already have, there'll be something for you. We encourage lots of questions and do our best to ensure you're happy and excited about creating your bridal flowers.

Make a hand-tied bouquet on a Sunday afternoon with Lois. Spoil yourself with an incredible selection of blooms to choose from in this simple and creative class. Learn the traditional method of spiralling stems and tying your bouquet to suit any of your own vases. All abilities welcome! £48 per person, including tuition, flowers, tea and cake.
Ascot Ladies Day

Come and combine a bit of floral magic with some basic millinery materials. On the evening before Ascot's infamous Ladies Day, we will create a spectacular floral fascinator. Whether your heading down to the racecourse, or watching the races from your sofa (bubbly in hand!) we're giving you the chance to create a totally unique headpiece. Choose from dried and fresh florals to attach to one of our numerous style felt bases. Go full-frills, feathers, or florals - whatever your style! Although fresh and delicate, your finished design should be totally wearable and last until the end of the Thursday (at least!). Price includes tuition, tools, choice of dried and fresh flowers, and multiple hat bases and adornments.
Pick Your Own - From Garden to Vase
Sunday 16th August / 11:00 - 13:30
Enjoy the fruits of the garden. By far our most informal workshop, join us for a stroll around the cutting patch, talking all-things flowery. You will learn the best way to cut and condition flowers straight from the garden, and have the opportunity to fill a vase with your chosen blooms then-and-there! A great opportunity to ask any questions about both gardening and arranging. Entire workshop will take place outside, so please dress appropriately. £45 price includes tuition, equipment, a glass vase to keep, drinks, snacks, and free roam of the gardens.
The Art of Eco Florals
Sunday 6th September / 10:00 - 16:30

Suitable for those wanting to turn their hand to using more sustainable methods in floral design. In a day, we will talk all things green! The course will include the creation of a fully compostable moss-based design - suitable for a long and low or funeral arrangement. We will also cover advise on sourcing sustainable materials, and how to make another style of eco arrangement (TBC). The day will be broken up by a home-cooked lunch and a chance to pick Lois' brain on her 5 years of foam-free experience.
Please email us to register your interest, and also specify if there's any particular technique of arranging you'd like to learn. Some options could be a wild meadow display, a pedestal arrangement, or a larger installation. We will finalise the course content based on the most popular suggestions by the start of the Summer, and notify you of the final details via email.

Christmas Wreath Making

Get yourself in the Christmas spirit by crafting a festive wreath. Using a re-usable wire frame and moss, we'll learn how the basic technique of how to construct a classic Christmas wreath. Choose from a lush selection of foliage's, along with twigs, berries, grasses, dried fruits and ribbons to decorate. £45 price includes tuition, equipment, endless choice of materials, mulled wine and festive snacks.

Thinking of adding a floral element to your hen do? Or are you planning an annual family get together? Whatever the occasion, our private classes are the best mix of productive creativity and fun! With a range of classes to choose from, we tailor each booking to suit you. Most classes take between 2-3 hours, accommodate 5 - 15 people, and are priced per person.

Saturday night Flower Party - Dried Wreath Making
Take full advantage of our fantastic in-workshop stereo system in this combination of flowers, food and music! A perfect early-evening activity as part of a hen-weekender.
We will use dried flowers to create dainty floral hanging hoops - great to decorate your wedding venue or your home, and a perfect activity to do alongside nattering and bopping along to the tunes. We'll also supply a homemade buffet of delicious snacky food, and complimentary Prosecco.
