About

About Little Garden

Little Garden is a flower shop and studio based in Warwickshire first established in 2017. Our approach is inspired by the natural world, from garden design and botanical studies, to wild hedgerows and walks in the woods. The plant kingdom as a whole is our passion, and both our working style and sustainable ethos help to celebrate that.

We use only British-grown flowers throughout the year, minimise our use of plastics and pesticides, and avoid the use of floral foam entirely. We are proud to be connected with an incredible network of local and commercial growers, whilst also growing on a small scale ourselves.

Sadly the traditional floral industry has remained largely unchanged for over four decades, with approximately 90% of flowers sold in the UK imported. The carbon footprint of this alone is staggering, as well numerous ethical issues surrounding workers rights, health and safety, and natural resources. You can read more about this on our Sustainable Flowers page.

At Little Garden, we place great importance on sharing our knowledge and expertise in this niche area, and believe that it is just as valuable as providing beautiful, natural blooms and products to our customers.

The Shop

Launched in April 2023 our new Leamington Spa shop is our most ambitious project to date. Specialising in the sole use of British-grown flowers all year round, we are one of only 3 shops in the country to do so. Working closely with local growers in the Summer and some original 4th-generation flower farms through the Winter, we are proudly providing a sustainable floral service on the high-street.

As well as our sustainable blooms we also supply a wide range of locally grown indoor and outdoor plants, as well as dried flowers, gifts, tools and products any for garden and nature lover. All other floristry services are also offered in-house, ranging from subscription bouquets, flowers for businesses, houseplant maintenance, weddings and sympathy florals.

The Studio

Tucked away behind the family cottage in Gaydon, our picturesque private workspace is an idyllic hideout for creating wild and natural floral arrangements. Open by appointment only, the studio looks out onto the cutting patch and serves as our main hub for wedding work and hosting floral and Christmas workshops throughout the year.

The studio is also available for private hire, either for a hen-do or family gathering in conjunction with one of our floral workshops, or equally as a hireable events space for meetings, creative classes, or private functions.

The Team

Heading up the show is founder Lois Golding. Studying photography in Cornwall was where it all began when her love for rich tones of analogue film grew just as quickly as her passion for nature and the outdoors. After training on the job and working as a florist for a few years, Lois' ideas slowly formulated to create a more unique and sustainable offering. With a lifelong commitment to environmentalism, her persistent drive has pushed both her and Little Garden to be the most eco-conscious, inspired and creative versions of themselves possible.

Mostly frequenting the Leamington shop is our wonderful shop manager Cara. Her years of experience working with houseplants and in garden centres couldn't have better equipped her for our growing (pun) plants department! Cara's love for all things plants and flowers is truly infectious, and her sense of humour and willingness to help is a pleasure to be around. And if you need help telling your Antirrhinum from your Anthuriums then she is your gal!

The rest of the team comes and goes as and when we need them, including some wonderful freelancers for our wedding work such as Lisa and Tarnya, Jan and Gillian who are our lovely bouquet delivery drivers, and all the other hands who pitch in behind the scenes. From admin help from Molly to Toby and Elliot helping us keep the cutting patch pretty - we're all a lovely bunch!
